Raygun Gothic Rocketship was first displayed at Burning Man in May 2009. The 40-foot tall art piece is a rococo-futuristic, highly stylized vision of space travel circa 1930s -1940s science fiction. It has also been displayed at Yuri’s Night at NASA Ames and at the Embarcadero in San Francisco, CA. Just outside of the Lowry Beer Garden in Lowry is its final landing place with a permanent kiosk built that doubles as ice cream store.
